Favorite Body Moisturiser (INEXPENSIVE) - Nivea Nourishing Intensive Moisturising Care

I've been using this product for about half a year now and my skin has never been in a better condition - I haven't experienced any dryness ever since using it. I've used numerous other moisturisers and creams, high and low end, that promise intense hydration but nothing compares to this one.
The best part is that it retails anywhere from 2-5€ so you can slather yourself in it without feeling guilty. With most body moisturisers, especially low end ones, I feel as if my skin stays moisturised for a couple hours but then it's back to square one. Ofcourse, it's important to remember that internal hydration is most important but a good moisturiser surely does help out. This product leaves my skin feeling and looking great - very hydrated with a beautiful healthy glow. That glow is actually no joke! It's so nice that I haven't even bothered using shimmery lotions because this has a similar effect. Be sure to purchase the one that's particularly directed to "dry to very dry skin" because the other ones aren't as potent.
The consistency is thick and slightly oily. Yes, you will need to wait a moment for it to dissolve but it won't leave you oily and sticky, only hydrated.

Let me know what're your favorite moisturisers!

Common Beauty Mistakes VIDEO

Hiii! I decided to make a video on common beauty mistakes I see all the time. I touch base on bronzer application, winged eyeliner, highlighter, dry shampoo, overdrawn lips etc. All of these are easily avoidable and preventable.

Enjoy! xx

Some Serious GLOW - Iconic London Illuminator

Wow - are you seeing this glow?! I love this product. It's even more intense in real life. If you're looking for the most intense highlight on the market - this is it.

Even Becca's Champagne Pop and Makeup Forever's Pro Fusion Highlighter don't compare to this and that's saying a lot! Those are two very intense highlighters. As for the product itself, it can be a bit tricky to apply as you need to work with it very fast before it starts drying out, otherwise you'll be left with a very noticeable line of product. I like to first apply bronzer on my cheeks since the highlighter is a bronzey shade itself, then place it with my finger on the areas where I want to highlight, and finally blend the edges with a wet beauty blender. The product will also last you a very long time as very little is needed per application so the value for money is fine (~€50). However, please keep in mind that it's of a liquid consistency so it's not everlasting and will expire.

The only thing I'm slightly unimpressed with is the fact that if I'm paying €50 for a product like this, I really do expect the brand and product name to be printed onto the packaging and not onto a cheap sticker that's not even placed well. However, that's really no big deal because the product itself is so amazing and is what obviously matters - just a slight annoyance for me as I'm quite particular when it comes to my makeup ;)

Textured Shadows Palette - Rose Gold Edition by Huda Beauty

Finally! Allow me to introduce to you one of the best, if not the best, eyeshadow palette made.
Obviously, you're not going to be a fan for the most part if you don't like red based colors - I never was until last year. Nowadays I find them to be very flattering on most people and skin tones, especially when paired up with the trending mauve and brown based nude lip colors. However though, champagnes, golds, bronzes, browns (especially on the warm side) are still my favorite eyeshadow shades and will always be. Luckily, this palette has a fair share of them aswell.
The eyeshadows are of the highest quality - very nice and effortless to work with. The textured shimmery eyeshadows are of a consistency I haven't come across yet - they're almost moist or greasy per say, but only in a positive way. This doesn't translate to creasing or minimize the longevity of the eyeshadow, it just makes the result very amplified and intense. These glittery shades must be applied by using fingers though - a brush will not work with them. This may be slightly burdening but the payoff is worth it. My favorite shades are Angelic (LOVE!) and Dubai.

I'm so pale right now that I feel most of the shades in this palette will look the best on me when I'm slightly tanned because the red tones can be a bit overpowering against my white skin. My only complaint is about the shade Black Truffle... It's not as pigmented and blendable as I'd like it to be but I can live with that.

This look: SHY (crease), BOSSY (crease), COCO (outer corner), ANGELIC (lid), 24K (center of lid) and BLACK TRUFFLE (outer V)

These rose golds and red based colors are especially flattering on green eyes because as you can see they really make the eye color stand out. This is because the eyeshadow colors and my eye color are opposite each other on the color wheel and colors positioned oppositely to each other will enhance each other.
Currently it's quite difficult to get the palette as it's out of stock from stores that deliver to most European countries. However, Cult Beauty told me that they will be restocking it in January so I promise to inform you guys right away when that happens. It's a limited edition product so if you want it make sure to get your hands on it asap when it comes out again. Also, Huda herself mentioned on video that they will be restocking at some point this year. Ordering from Cult Beauty when within the EU is the most feasible as the import and courier charges were quite heavy when I ordered it from Huda's website.

I'll be using this palette in a lot of my looks this year for sure. I hope 2017 has kicked off well for all of you! xx

Glamorous Midnight Blue Smokey Eye

Blue is my favorite color and I think it's one of the most flattering colors to use on the eyes in a bold party makeup look. I've heard so many people say that blue is a difficult color to work with so let me prove you wrong here! It's actually really the only colorful eyeshadow I use that's out of the neutral-earth toned sphere and I love it! This is usually the look I go for if I'm going out clubbing.

MAC Pigments: Warm Snow, Silver Fog, Naval Blue, Blues

I used all of the pigments above for this look. I bought them from MAC's holiday collection last year but I'm sure they have very similar ones if not even the same product but under different names. Pigments are a tad more difficult and messier to work with so if you're not feeling that I'd suggest using eyeshadows. However, they do deliver a more intense and amplified finish, especially when used wet!

The last time I was at Inglot I laid my eyes on their beautiful blue and grey eyeshadows - I have to go back there asap and do some damage...
Dark makeup like this requires glamorous and dramatic false eyelashes! Ardell falsies are my favorite. Btw, I really hope there's no one out there paying more than a few euros for (Ardell) lashes. I've actually seen stores retailing them for almost 10€ in Finland and I rolled my eyes so hard that I almost saw my brain. I order all of mine from Madame Madeleine at $2.60 each and currently they're having a -20% discount on Ardell lashes by using the code SHOPNSAVE at checkout & -18% sitewide by using the code CELEBRATE. You're welcome, ladies! ;)

Here's my in-depth post on false eyelashes.

If you're a beginner in the lash world or you generally have difficulties with falsies, I'd recommend getting something with a clear and thin band rather than a thick band like the above. Thick bands can be more difficult to work with - even for me! However, these are so glamorous that it's worth it! One of my favorites and what I usually wear are the #105's because they're super easy to put on and work well with both day and evening looks.
MAC Angel

A baby pink lip paired with a blue smokey eye, MM-MM! My favorite combo! Pinks are blue based so that's why they look so good together. A neutral beigey glossy nude would also look good with this makeup.

Let me know what you think of this look! Does anyone else love a dark blue? Especially royal or electric blue as much as I do?!

Hope you're all having a lovely week,
